WEB SITE TERMS OF USE
These "Terms of Use" set forth the terms and conditions that apply to your use of alexboxauctions.net (the "Web Site"). By using the Web Site (other than to read this page for the first time), you agree to comply with all of the Terms of Use set forth herein. The right to use the Web Site is personal to you and is not transferable to any other person or entity.
Auction Rules/Regulations
All auctions on the Alex Box Auctions website are governed by the following rules and regulations. An opening bid is set for each item, along with a required bid increment. If bids are placed that are not in accord with these pre-determined amounts, bids will not be accepted.
Each auction has a set end date and time, calculated from the clock on the website. The highest bid at the end of the auction will be declared the winning bid, and the auction item will be immediately placed in the winning bidder's shopping cart for purchase. Please note: any related shipping/handling fees are not included in the winning bid and will be added on to the amount of the winning bid at checkout.
During the auction, you cannot bid more than 3x the current bid amount. For example, on an item with a current bid of $500, the maximum bid that can be placed would be $1,500. This bid cap is designed to prevent an unintentionally high bid from being placed via typographic error. However, if you are the current winning bidder of an auction, and you would like to boost the bid amount to attempt to insure your victory, you can do so many times as you like, as long as you stay within the 3x bidding structure. Be advised, you will be required to pay the amount you bid should you be the auction winner. Alex Box Auctions DOES NOT use an automatic bidding system where the system bids minimally acceptable amounts for you up to a certain high point. The bid you enter is the the amount you will pay should you win the auction.
By bidding on the Alex Box Auction system, you are entering into a legal and binding agreement with Alex Box Auctions, and you are willfully declaring your intention to pay the designated amount upon conclusion of the auction.
BIDS CANNOT BE RETRACTED, so do not bid unless you fully intend on paying the stated amount should you be the winning bidder. Auction winners will be notified within 24 hours, and payment for the item must be made within 1 week of the auction end date. It is the buyer's responsibility to insure prompt payment for any item won in an online auction, irregardless of the amount.
Shipping Information
All items will be shipped within 6-8 weeks after the order is received, however every effort will be made to ship items as quickly as possible. Certain auction items, or items with customized upgrades may take longer.
Any items that qualify as eligible for shipping will be sent via UPS Ground or truck freight. Items specifically designated as "pick-up only" can be picked up at our Baton Rouge warehouse for a small handling fee during designated and/or pre-arranged times. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide adequate and secure transport of the item from our warehouse to its destination, including sufficient moving assistance. Alex Box Auctions personnel will not assist with the movement, securing or transport of any item after it leaves our warehouse facility. Any personal injury or damage made to the item during the pick-up and transport process is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
A valid shipping address is required for all deliveries. We regret that we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, Rural Routes or international addresses. As a signature is required upon delivery, please ensure that someone is at the delivery address to accept and sign for the package during regular business hours. Regular business hours are 9am to 5pm EST, Monday to Friday. Please refer to the listing description for details on the specific ship window for each item.
Due to the nature of some of the items for sale and auction, truck freight may be required and additional shipping charges may apply based on specific shipping and handling needs. We will do our best to estimate the shipping fees during the online checkout process, however we cannot foresee all possible shipping/handling costs due to the unique nature of the items available for auction or purchase. Alex Box Auction Customer Service will do everything possible to communicate the specific details of your unique shipment prior to incurring any potential extra costs.
All items shipped via UPS Ground or Truck Freight will be insured for the purchase value of the item. In the event of loss or damage during the shipping process,
an insurance claim will be filed with the carrier and appropriate steps will be taken to recover any loss.
Payment Information
Alex Box Auctions accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express. In unique circumstances, for Premium Auction items that have sold for a significant amount, a personal check or money order may be accepted as a form of payment. The item will not be shipped or released until the check has cleared. We do not accept PayPal, or any other payment methods other than the options noted above. As a courtesy, we will attempt to contact you if your credit card is not processed successfully, but should it fail we reserve the right to cancel the transaction.
Please note: Regarding taxes on auction items, any applicable taxes will be deducted from the winning bid, so no additional taxes will be charged on top of the winning bid price.
Conditions of Sale
Items are sold/auctioned in "as-is" condition, just as they were found in the original Alex Box Stadium on the date of their removal. Every effort has made been made to preserve these items in their current form, which in many cases is quite weathered and aged. Alex Box Auctions will take no responsibility for any customer dissatisfaction with the item upon receipt due to natural flaws within the item. Any purchase made on the site is made with the buyer's with full awareness that the item is being purchased as it currently exists and no specific restoration efforts will be made to any of these items, unless noted in the item description or requested via eligible upgrade package.
Return Policy
Due to the unique nature of each item, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No returns or exchanges will be accepted. In rare cases of shipping damages, please contact Alex Box Auctions Customer Service within 48 hours of delivery for return instructions.
